Priest Futen (瘋癲和尚, Fūten Oshō), corresponds to the character in the original series but is depicted as mentally unstable in Kikaider 02. He unleashes six replicas of Kikaider 01, causing them to go berserk and attack Mitsuko Komyoji and Jiro. However, he himself becomes embroiled in the ensuing battle and meets his demise.
