Kaoru (カオル), a female warrior, despises the false freedom placed under Gurdjieff's surveillance and dreams of true freedom. She frequently envisions a savior riding a black horse – the "Black Knight" – in her dreams, whom she identifies with Hakaider. She considers him her last hope and fights alongside the Senate, hoping to bring her beliefs to fruition.
As a member of the Anti-Government Guerrilla group, she demonstrates unwavering conviction in her actions and is known to reprimand those blinded by greed. Despite her strong and assertive demeanor, she possesses a feminine side, dreaming of becoming an ordinary bride. Kaoru develops feelings for Hakaider – Ryo – who possesses a pure and human-like heart. Tragically, during a raid on their hideout, she sustains critical injuries inflicted by Michael's Angel Crow, and while Ryo is by her side, she takes her last breath. Kaoru's death triggers Hakaider's fury, leading him to decide on a full-scale attack and complete destruction of the Senate headquarters.
