Kikaider 01
Kikaider 01 (キカイダー01, Kikaidā Zero Wan), also known as Ichiro (イチロー, Ichirō) in human form, is a humanoid android created by the genius Dr. Komyoji, and serves as the elder "brother" of Kikaider.
Biography[]
Within the story of Kikaider 00, 01 plays a pivotal role as a protector and ally, actively searching for his creator, Dr. Komyoji, alongside the android Bijinder after mistakenly believing that Jiro had shut down due to a malfunction. 01's journey brings him face-to-face with 00 when he rescues Dr. Komyoji and his team from an attack by the Carmine Spider, an adversary that appears after 00's repairs.

01's design continues the visual themes of the Kikaider series, with distinct color patterns that symbolize his duality. The right side of his body is colored red, while the left side is blue. Additionally, several parts of his structure, including his entire head (excluding the face), chest, and forearms, feature clear components that reveal the intricate internal mechanics of his android form.

- An essential update to 01's character was clarified in the 2007 issue of Hobby Japan, where author Masato Hayase redefined his attributes. Unlike his portrayal in the tokusatsu television series, 01 in this adaptation no longer possesses a fully functional Conscience Circuit.
