Etymology

• Hakaider's name is a play on the quote "Destroy it!" (Hakai da!).

Influences

• Character designer Yutaka Izubuchi acknowledged Hakaider's design and function as the inspiration for Bio Hunter Silva, a similar character in the Super Sentai Series, Choudenshi Bioman.
• Violent Spirit Top Gunder serves as the equivalent of Hakaider in the Metal Hero Series, Choujinki Metalder, whose protagonist was concieved as an homage to Kikaider.
