Golden Bat (キンイロコウモリ, Kin'iro Koumori) is a bat-type DARK Robot belonging to the DARK Destruction Corps.
Biography[]
Early in the story, Golden Bat initiates a seemingly one-sided attack on "Kikaider", apparently destroying him. However, it is later revealed that this encounter involved a test unit based on Androidman, not the real Kikaider. Disguised as Taro Komyoji, the elder brother of Mitsuko and Masaru, who was believed to have been killed by DARK while serving in the Environmental Guard, Golden Bat infiltrates their lives. His ultimate objective is to obliterate Jiro's Conscience Circuit, aiming to transform him into a completely obedient DARK Robot.
Deceiving Mitsuko, Golden Bat manages to steal Jiro's blueprints and successfully destroys his Conscience Circuit. Upon witnessing this act, he callously reveals his true identity to Mitsuko and attempts to attack her. However, Jiro, having recovered, intervenes and prevents Golden Bat from further harming Mitsuko. Anticipating Golden Bat's tactics, Jiro had manipulated the blueprints, and the destroyed Conscience Circuit was merely a decoy spare.
In the battle against Kikaider, Golden Bat initially gains the upper hand with his swift flight abilities, using techniques like the Bat Flash to disorient his opponent and even attempting to push him off a high place. However, despite momentarily having the advantage, he ultimately meets his demise when confronted with Kikaider's Double Chop, followed by Dai Sharin Nage leading to the Denji End, resulting in his destruction.

True to his name, he has a golden body with a matching cape, and his design might not immediately convey the bat motif upon first glance. Taking inspiration from the swift flight abilities of bats, Golden Bat possesses a technique called Bat Flash (コウモリフラッシュ, Koumori Furasshu) used as a blinding maneuver.
