Chigusa Komyoji (光明寺 千草, Kōmyōji Chigusa) is the wife of Dr. Komyoji and the mother of Ichiro and Mitsuko. Her character is marked by tragedy, as she endured the loss of her son Ichiro and the mysterious disappearance of her husband, Dr. Komyoji. The combined weight of these events took a severe toll on her health, and she ultimately passed away from the stress and grief approximately ten years before the current events of the story.
